(From LAWeekly, April 15, 2005)

With her busy schedule promoting the "uncanceled" Family Guy (returning to FOX May 1, 9 p.m.), we were lucky to catch up with Lois Griffin, the nasally matriarch of the Griffin clan (with thanks to Alex Borstein).

LAWeekly:How does it feel to be uncanceled by FOX?

Lois: It feels almost as good as when I found out I was unpregnant. I was young . . . what a scare that was!

LAWeekly: What have you been doing all this time?

Lois: I kept myself busy working on my rap album. It’s been an amazing experience working with 50 Cent and Lil’ Kim, or as I like to call her, "Lil’ Liar." She’s a doll and what a great pair of hooters!

LAWeekly: What can we expect from the new season?

Lois: The new season is packed with great stories and some very strong moral lessons. For instance, one episode deals with my choice to take Peter off his feeding tube. He’s completely conscious, but I just think he eats too much.

LAWeekly: What do you do to relax?

Lois: Sometimes I like to relax with a giant cartoon mai tai and a good rubdown in Chinatown. Occasionally I’ll do yoga, because I find the deep breathing and twisting so I can see my own ass very relaxing.

LAWeekly: Do you consider yourself a good mother?

Lois: I think I’m a great mother! I have a wonderful relationship with all three of my kids. As a matter of fact, I would like to challenge all other TV moms to a Mom-off! I will kick that Lorelai Gilmore’s ass! I will shine so brightly, Malcolm will no longer be in the middle!

LAWeekly: Your bio describes you as "Martha Stewart meets Barbarella" — where does the Barbarella comparison come in?

Lois: I have an incredible figure. Built like a racehorse, my dear.

LAWeekly: Stewie’s got his own book? What would yours be called?

Lois:It’s funny you should ask about a book, because I’m working on my memoirs right now. The working title is, Stewie’s Head Is Huge, But I’m Still Walkin’!
